This course is phenomenal. From the way you're greeted when you arrive, to the practice facilities, to the awe inspiring views. I started out by walking into the palatial clubhouse and taking care of the green fees. Donald Trump voice "HUGE". The carts have all of the extras including iced coolers on the sides. The range balls are included with your green fees and are stacked in pyramids down at the range. Made my group feel special. The practice green has a stream flowing through it that helps quite the mind and focus on your stroke. The whole course was in great shape for early Spring. The course is well designed with altitude variations, nice mixture of hole lengths, and a couple of multi-tiered greens. The views are absolutely the best.
The food at the club house is awesome and the golf course is one of the best in the area
The best course I have played in Knoxville. Worth the extra time to travel 20min outside of town to play. Great staff at the club house and great views on every hole of either gorgous homes, the lake or the mountains.
Course in great shape. Club members playing behind us were "pushing" some though we were, at times, waiting on group in front of us. Two members had their own carts so could play faster. Otherwise enjoyed course.
If you are under 40, do not consider living here. The population is mainly elderly snowbirds who have retired here and are not fond of younger people. Not only are they rude at neighborhood social events or board/interest meetings, they will constantly report you for the littlest things such as temporarily leaving a boat trailer in your driveway or if your dog starts barking at you from your driveway. They used to have an employee who drove around on a golf cart noting who to send violation notices to. My neighbor has an incredibly friendly golden retriever and it ran up to the top of his driveway as someone was walking. The elderly guy yelled at my neighbor to get rid of it. Now he carries a golf club when walking. And they find any excuse to yell at you on the street. It's absolutely ridiculous. It's a beautiful neighborhood ruined by a bitter and rude population.
The neighborhood has also changed hands recently and they are considering adding an assisted living community and informed us that it will put a significant strain on the infrastructure. And the country club is rather expensive with an inflated price to use only the pool and small gym, where they recently did away with the bathrooms. The new management has also talked about forcing a $300 social fee per month on residents to pay for it.
As far as the neighborhood, having lived here for over a decade, I'd suggest looking at other places in Knoxville and Farragut. The location is convenient only to the lake. Otherwise it is a significant drive to grocery stores, shopping and dining.
