When I first visited White Stables I automatically fell in love with the family friendly environment. They have a very knowledgeable staff and a very well maintained facility. This farm has it all including an outstanding arena, separate dressage court, numerous riding trails, round pen, safe turnouts and well kept stalls.
Parents Beware. Over the summer, we had a really bad experience in which some under age and apparently under experienced workers allowed my kids to enter the stables after a ride. While in the stables one of the horses got spooked and kicked with all his force. My 8 year old son was standing within inches to where this horse kicked. I was also in the stable and saw this happen. As a result I cancelled a summer camp we had signed up for due to my lack of confidence that the staff could keep my kids (8 & 7) safe. Pascal, the owner made the claim that this was all elaborate scheme to try to get out of the $200 camp fee. Very absurd and really quite offensive considering that if my son was injured or worse yet killed by that horse, the financial and emotional loss would be exponentially more than the $200 camp fee. Don't care about the $200 but do care that my kids or no others are injured by the blatant negligence I experienced by the staff. Tighten up your policies Pascal and be more cognizant of the fact that you're opening yourself up to tremendous liability. Not to mention the bad reputation that an incident such as this brings upon your company. Good luck and I hope no one is injured in the future.
My children and I have been taking riding lessons at White Stables for over a year. It is a very versatile barn. Whether we are riding on the trails, in the arena, attending camps or participating in shows, we have always had a wonderful experience. They have great trainers, instructors and staff. I've been riding off and on for over twenty years and this has been the most welcoming and friendly stable I have encountered. The fact that it is a gorgeous property and facility is an added bonus. I highly recommend!
One of my friends boarded her horse here for a few months. The "training" here is just abuse that they call "firm direction." The manager, Pascal, allows the abuse right under her nose. Their horse needed care, but due to their schedules they could only show up after hours. Instead of trying to negotiate a time, Pascal told them they couldn't come back unless it was during barn hours, essentially denying them the ability to care for their horse. She also accused my friends of stealing tack that was borrowed with permission and of riding underage, when all parties, including myself, were of age, as shown by the waivers she came out and had us sign in front of her. (I never rode, and the two friends that did each had previously signed waivers that were "lost.") After one check bounced, my friend's mom was required to pay in cash from then on. Pascal also refused to refund them the month's board fees that were paid in advance, even though they'd made the decision to leave. The entire time they were there, they were treated like they knew nothing despite 10 years of experience, when in reality it's their staff that's incompetent and unreasonable. Avoid this barn if you love your horse and yourself.
The most beautiful trails. Great for first time rider. Husband never rode before n loved it. Horse named Enkedu(spelling might not be right) very patient and loving to me.
